Nathan Redmond
|
Of all the teams relegated he is probably the only player I would consider signing.
Does anybody know of any Norwich fans who see him week in week out and can give more insight as to why he doesn't play more regularly?
Injuries or just bad attitude?
Every time I have seen him I have always thought he would be an excellent signing for us, one of the positions we really need someone claiming and this guy on his day (from what I've seen) is mustard.
Obviously is a bit worrying why he doesn't feature more regularly and wondered if anyone knew the reason?

Infidel, I agree. A prime example for me is Kevin Mirallas. Always seems to play well against us but from Everton's view we are one of very few teams he plays well against.

The key phrase in the OP is 'on his day'.
You could say the same about Jonjo Shelvey, who took us apart when we played the barcodes but I wouldn't want him either.
Lots of players have a good day from time to time and then fade back to invisibility. We need players who can sustain top drawer performances - the sort of consistency we have seen from Antonio, Kouyate, Noble, Ginge etc this season.
Not saying these players haven't had a bad day at the office from time to time but most weeks they have been exceptional and put in a hell of a shift.
With Redmond you'd get one game in ten where he bosses the park and the rest of the time he'll be a passenger, which is why he couldn't get on the team sheet at Norwich.

Nope - not now
He is a classic DVD player and is not a regular starter for Norwich. Can sparkle with a trick or two but bang indifferent otherwise, no end product, poor goal return, drifts out of games and inconsistent
My opinion, well yes but based upon ST's opinions who have seen him throughout

The only player I would take from Villa is Kieran Clark...
Young lad who has been lost at sea in a shit team but he does have potential...a left footed Centre Back who can fill in at left back or defensive midfield too. Irish international as well.
With a good manager...he could be a useful squad player
Maybe I was harsh on Redmond...certainly an upgrade on Moses or Valencia

Have banged on about Redmond as have always seen something in him. Tough in a poor team like Norwich & often got the feeling he was on the bench as they wanted to keep things tight with the likes of O'Neil & then bring him on late. Like at UP where he scored. If he comes in as one of the Moses & Valencia replacements I would be in favour. I'd take Townsend at a pinch but no one else from Newcastle and none from Villa. I think Janmatt will be overpriced and I am not convinced by him. Think we can find a good international right back from Europe for much less.

Would be a decent squad player... Certainly would not be a first team player

Ahhh this old chestnut...
Another young lad eligible for England who has lightning pace but no end product or subtlety
Bound to be a superstar then...

Has no one mentioned Janmaat? Only about a million times on here.
And I'm absolutely fucked if I know why, part of one of the shittest defences in the league, looks flashy going forward but can't defend, Newcastle fans say he has been shit this season, but a team who wants to move on to the next level should sign him?
Is it the curly hair?

Uh has no one said Daryl Janmaat?
Cracking RB.
I'd snatch him before anyone, as we need a player in that position.

No thanks. Never stood out in a poor team and his ridiculous facial hair suggests something of the Aaron Lennons about him. Bit of a dick.

I'd take him.
Still young, bags of potential, premier league experience, clearly has ability and may well find that it's a bit easier to play better along side payet lanzini Carroll Antonio kouyate and nobke than hoolahan jerome and Naismith...

In my book the last 3 games are the end of the season not towards the end of the season.

So the last three games aren't towards the end of the season then? He picked up an injury against Man City and had to come off at half time, had a game out and like most players worked his way back into the team from the bench.

I think he is an ok player m nothing more than that . The fact that he started over a dozen games on the bench in a tragically shit team says quite a lot
